Welcome to the town of Garrison.  Garrison is located southwest of the city of Vinton, the Benton County seat.  Garrison was the birthplace of the Old Creamery Theatre Company (which has relocated to the Amana Colonies). 

The local fire department is well known for its participation in statewide events.  If you like nature walks, there is a walking/hiking path along the south edge of town that can take you all the way to either Vinton or Dysart.  Keystone Communications provides the phone, internet and cable television services to the town itself.  Rural customers are receiving phone and internet only, but IPTV is on its way here, too.
